VERIFY OUR CREDENTIALS BEFORE YOU CHOOSE ANY PROVIDER

LWEC is the only wildlife training provider in South Africa holding all three government endorsements — national qualifications, not association memberships.

CATHSSETA Provider Accreditation 613/P/00392/2022
QCTO Accreditation 09-QCTO/SDP261022055054

The 7-Month Career Course — R285 000

≈ R23 750
per national qualification — 12+ in one programme
≈ R1 360 per day
all-inclusive: training, chalet accommodation and meals for 7 months
R28 500 deposit
is all it takes to secure one of the 12 places for 2027

Enrolling for the same qualifications individually would cost far more, take years longer — and still miss qualifications only LWEC offers.

Seen a cheaper course? Good — let's compare properly.

You will find cheaper wildlife courses. What matters is what the price buys. A lower-priced course typically delivers one certificate — often an association membership certificate rather than a national qualification — with accommodation, meals and workplace experience charged separately or not offered at all. The Career Course delivers 12+ SAQA-aligned national qualifications with seven months of accommodation, meals and real workplace experience included. Assembled from separate providers, the same set costs about R1 103 000 and takes years longer.

Before you pay anyone — including us — ask every provider these four questions:

  1. Is this a national qualification registered with SAQA, or an association certificate? (Ask for the SAQA ID — ours are printed above.)
  2. Is the provider CATHSSETA- or QCTO-accredited? (Ask for the accreditation number and verify it — ours are at the top of this page.)
  3. Does the price include accommodation, meals and practical workplace experience — or do those come as extras on top?
  4. Who signs off your portfolio of evidence — are there registered assessors and moderators in-house?

We publish our numbers because they survive checking. If another quote survives all four questions and still costs less — take it, with our blessing. In our experience, it won't.
